- What we collect
- Your email address, town or postcode, country and profile (cat owner or cat-less sitter). If you choose to give them: your first name, how many cats you have, your type of home, where you would like to go and when you usually travel.
- Why
- To tell you when Chatroc opens in your area, and to decide which areas to open first.
- Legal basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Who sees it
- Only the people who run Chatroc. Your details are never sold, rented or passed on.
- Where it is kept
- On the server that hosts the site, rented from OVH within the European Union. Confirmation emails are sent from that same server, with no third-party mailing service.
- How long
- Until Chatroc opens in your area, and no longer than three years after you signed up.
You have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, to object to its use and to withdraw your consent. To do so, simply reply to the confirmation email you received when you signed up, or write to the business address above.
If you feel your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie) or to the data protection authority where you live. In the United Kingdom, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, and a technical one at that: a session cookie the form needs. It guards against automated submissions and remembers the language you chose. It disappears when you close your browser. Because the form cannot work without it, it does not require your consent.
There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies. The site calls on no outside services: even the fonts are hosted on its own server.
